Simba’s latest entrepreneurial venture saw him as the Managing Partner of the student-run start-up, SOSA Investments, which he served simultaneously with his studies in 2016 and 2017. His role encompassed all parts of the business operations, while focusing mainly on partnering up with domestic enterprises. In June of 2017, Simba also partnered with the Managing Director of All Connect Communications (PTY) Ltd to head a student-based sales team, which has subsequently operated Telkom’s Western Cape sales.
The socioeconomic well-being of the worldwide society has always been at the core of the way Simba approached his schooling and self-development, and can therefore be reflected in all spheres of his work. This passion for giving back effectively and sustainably has seen Simba act as the Junior Head of the NGO, Next Step Africa, and move on to currently being the Vice President of the Litoro Foundation.
All these current roles have offered Simba the opportunity to encounter real life problems and gain fruitful experience in many fields. Although his future is far from being set, Simba sees himself completing his undergraduate degree and further acquiring an MBA abroad. Simba aspires to continue his involvement in numerous start-ups with the eventual goal of becoming one of Africa’s most influential CEOs. This being said, Simba is extremely driven in all his endeavors and lives with the firm belief that “hustle beats talent when talent doesn’t hustle”.
